About me

Since 2024, I have nurtured my passion for mentoring & tutoring, offering bespoke, online, and face-to-face support to mixed-ability students from a diverse range of backgrounds. As a teacher, tutor, and now co-director of 10/10 Tutoring Ltd., I firmly advocate the potential of every student to succeed, uniquely, and work to personalize that pathway to success. To that end, my tutoring approach and teaching style aim to be functional and fruitful. I want students to enjoy the lessons, contextualized by a desire to succeed, personally and academically. The journey and destination are of equal importance. Beyond academia, I devote my time to raising and spending quality time with my two children and enjoy a wide range of interests, including Buddhist studies, Indo-Asian cooking, reading, nature walking/hiking, and Kirtan meditation.

Teaching experience

I graduated from the University of Durham with a BA(Hons) Theology in 2005 and a PGCE in Secondary RE in 2007. My teaching career began at a secondary Catholic school in Wiltshire, teaching Religious Studies to GCSE level and Psychology to AS level, alongside overseeing the school’s AG&T programme. My career progressed to serving for 10 years as Head of Philosophy, Religious Studies & Critical Thinking at a Methodist Secondary School in Bath, where I also developed the school’s AG&T provision and oversaw the school’s ‘Philosothon UK Challenge’ representatives to regional and national success. Since 2022, I have worked across Wiltshire as subject lead of Religious Studies, Head of KS4 Pastoral Care, Head of the EPQ and Head of Sixth Form. In addition to teaching Religious Education & Philosophy to A-Level at my current school, I also support the delivery of the PSHE programme to Year 7-11 students.
